Photocell & Motion Sensor Flood Light Installation – Etobicoke

A new flood light with both photocell and motion sensor functions was installed, giving the exterior automatic lighting at dusk plus extra security when movement is detected.

Photocell & Motion Sensor Flood Light Installation – Etobicoke
The client wanted a flood light that didn't need to be manually switched on every evening — something that would just turn on when it got dark and off again in the morning. This fixture combined two features to make that happen: a photocell that reacts to ambient light levels, and a motion sensor that triggers extra brightness whenever movement is detected nearby. CanRenovation's specialist handled the motion sensor flood light installation, mounting the fixture in a spot that gave good coverage of the exterior area and dialing in both the photocell sensitivity and the motion detection range so the light would behave the way the client wanted — coming on automatically at dusk, and lighting up further whenever someone approached. Once it was up and tested, both functions worked exactly as expected: steady low-level light after sunset, with a brighter response whenever motion was picked up. Beyond the convenience, it's a solid upgrade for exterior security lighting, since a well-lit, motion-responsive entryway or driveway makes a home a lot less appealing to anyone poking around after dark — a great example of how the right outdoor lighting can boost both curb appeal and safety.
