Photocell & Motion Sensor Flood Light Project in Etobicoke
This Etobicoke project involved installing an exterior flood light with both photocell and motion-sensor functions. The goal was to provide automatic dusk-to-dawn lighting while also allowing the fixture to respond when movement was detected in the surrounding outdoor area.

Planning the Exterior Flood Light Position
The mounting location was selected based on the area the homeowner wanted illuminated and the direction needed for the motion sensor to detect movement within the intended zone.
The fixture position was also checked to help keep the photocell exposed to changing outdoor light levels so it could respond appropriately between daytime and nighttime conditions.
Installing the Outdoor Flood Light Fixture
The flood light fixture was mounted securely at the selected exterior location and positioned to provide coverage across the intended area.
The light heads and sensor components were then oriented so the fixture could provide useful illumination while maintaining the desired motion-detection range.
Adjusting the Photocell and Motion Sensor
After installation, the photocell and motion-sensor settings were adjusted to match the intended operating behaviour. The light was checked for automatic response to low ambient light as well as motion detection.
The sensor range and response settings were fine-tuned, and the fixture was tested through its available operating modes to confirm consistent function.
