Full-Motion TV Mount Installation Project in the GTA
This GTA project involved installing a full-motion TV wall mount for a homeowner who wanted more flexibility in the viewing angle. The mount was designed to extend away from the wall, swivel from side to side, and tilt while keeping the television securely supported.
CanRenovation reviewed the intended TV position and wall layout before installation so the mounting points and bracket height could be planned accurately.
Locating the Wall Studs and Planning the Mount Position
The wall studs were located before the bracket was installed so the full-motion mount could be secured to appropriate structural mounting points.
The position of the television was also checked in relation to the room layout and intended viewing area before the final bracket location was marked.
Installing and Leveling the Full-Motion Bracket
The mounting bracket was positioned, leveled, and securely fastened to the wall. Because a full-motion mount extends outward from the wall, careful bracket alignment was important for maintaining a stable installation throughout its range of movement.
The television was then attached to the mounting system and checked to make sure it sat correctly on the bracket.
Testing the TV Through Its Range of Motion
After mounting, the television was moved through the available extension, swivel, and tilt positions to confirm that the mechanism operated smoothly and the TV remained stable.
The final position and level were checked again after movement testing, and the visible cables were organized to create a cleaner wall-mounted appearance.

The completed installation left the television securely mounted on a full-motion bracket with adjustable viewing positions and organized cabling.
