This was our third time working with this client — we'd previously handled door repair Toronto homeowners often call us for, like fixing a sliding patio door, and cleared a dryer vent line that hadn't been maintained in a long time. This time, the property was being prepped for rent-out with a longer to-do list to get through. The main item was a broken door knob, but it wasn't a simple swap. The door's thickness meant standard knobs from the market didn't fit, and the client had already tried and failed to track one down themselves. After consulting with CanRenovation, the right knob was identified, and we connected the client with the supplier directly. Once it was ordered and delivered, our technician was out the same day to remove the broken knob and install the new one. Timing mattered a lot here — the house was already on the market, so getting things done quickly was a priority. While on-site for the knob, a few other issues came up that hadn't caught the client's eye, even with the home already staged: some baseboard damage in a couple of spots and a wall area that needed a touch-up. Those got flagged and handled in the same visit too. What started as a single door knob replacement turned into a full mini to-do list, all wrapped up in one visit — the kind of one-stop handyman Toronto homeowners and landlords count on.
