Instead of continuing to increase the screw size, the repair focused on restoring the damaged mounting area first.

The stripped and damaged holes were filled and the surrounding surface was repaired to create a more stable base for the hinge. The repaired area was then sanded and prepared so the hinge could sit flat against the door again.

Reattaching and Aligning the Door Hinge

The hinge was reattached using hardware suited to the repaired mounting area, then aligned so the door could swing without pulling away from the hinge position.
