Condo Painting Between Tenants in Downtown Toronto A landlord in Downtown Toronto contacted CanRenovation with a time-sensitive request: a complete interior painting and wall repair project for a one-bedroom condo between tenant move-outs and move-ins. The previous tenant had just vacated the property, and the new tenant was scheduled to move in by the end of the week. The homeowner wanted the entire condo refreshed and ready before handing over the keys. With a clear schedule and an empty property, we arranged for one of our professionals to begin the work the following day. Wall Repairs & Plastering Preparation During the initial walkthrough, several areas of wall damage were identified throughout the condo. Previous TV mounts, artwork, and other wall-mounted items had left holes and imperfections that needed to be repaired before painting. Our CanRenovation professional carefully patched and plastered the damaged areas, allowing the repair materials to dry before sanding them smooth and preparing the walls for painting. Proper surface preparation was essential to achieving a clean, consistent finish throughout the property. Complete Interior Painting & Finishing Once the wall repairs were completed, the painting process began. The scope included: • Interior walls throughout the one-bedroom condo • Closet walls and interior surfaces • Baseboards and interior trim • Interior doors Because the condo was completely empty and had hard-surface flooring, extensive furniture and floor protection was unnecessary. Drop sheets were used in active work areas to protect the flooring and maintain a clean working environment. This allowed the painting process to move efficiently while minimizing unnecessary preparation and final cleanup. Completed in Just One and a Half Days The entire project, including wall repairs, plastering, sanding, and interior painting, was completed in approximately one and a half days. By the following afternoon, the homeowner returned to inspect the finished condo and was pleased with the clean, refreshed appearance of the property. The keys were handed back, and the condo was ready for its next tenant well before the scheduled move-in.
