Bathroom Caulking- Richmond Hill

This bathroom caulking project in Richmond Hill covered the vanity, shower pan, and toilet with a fresh bead of waterproof silicone caulk for a clean, seamless finish. CanRenovation completed the full recaulking job to help prevent water damage, mold, and mildew before either takes hold. Bathroom Caulking- Richmond Hill
This project involved precision bathroom caulking around the vanity, shower pan, and toilet in a Richmond Hill home, replacing worn or missing seals with a clean, professional finish throughout. Old, cracked, or discoloured caulk isn't just a cosmetic issue — it's often the first sign that water is finding its way into places it shouldn't. Around a vanity, gaps at the countertop or backsplash let moisture seep behind the cabinet and into the wall. Around a shower pan, failed caulking allows water to travel underneath the tile or pan edge, which over time can lead to subfloor damage that's far more expensive to fix than a simple recaulking job. At the base of a toilet, a proper seal keeps both water and debris from collecting where they can't easily be cleaned. For this project, all of the old caulking in each of these areas was fully removed, and the surfaces were cleaned and dried before a fresh bead of waterproof silicone caulk was applied. Silicone was chosen specifically for its flexibility and mold resistance — qualities that matter in a bathroom where humidity and temperature shifts are constant, and where a rigid or lower-quality sealant would crack and fail much sooner. Each line was applied with attention to a clean, consistent finish — no gaps, no uneven beads, and no excess smeared onto surrounding tile or fixtures. The result is both functional and visual: a tighter barrier against water intrusion, and a noticeably sharper, more finished look around every fixture that was caulked. Fresh caulking is one of the simplest and most affordable ways to protect a bathroom from the kind of slow, hidden water damage that leads to mold, mildew, and costly repairs down the line. If your bathroom caulking is cracked, peeling, or showing signs of mold, CanRenovation can refresh it in Richmond Hill and across the GTA.
